Why TypeScript for this
We write the specification before the implementation, because the consumers' experience is the product and it deserves to be designed rather than discovered.
TypeScript is strongest at one language across client and server, with types catching integration errors at build time. For api design & integration that matters because the failure modes of this kind of system tend to cluster exactly there.
The honest trade-off: the ML ecosystem is in Python, so heavy model work lives there. We say that up front because a stack chosen for fashion rather than fit becomes someone's migration project two years later. Integration comes before intelligence. A model that cannot reach your systems of record is a demo with good manners.
