Why React for this

Most products fail by building the wrong thing well. Discovery exists to make that failure cheap, a week of interviews against a quarter of engineering is a very good trade.

React is strongest at the largest ecosystem and the deepest hiring pool. For product design that matters because the failure modes of this kind of system tend to cluster exactly there.

The honest trade-off: unopinionated enough that architecture discipline has to come from the team. We say that up front because a stack chosen for fashion rather than fit becomes someone's migration project two years later. Every engagement opens with a measurement: the cycle time, the cost per transaction, or the error rate we are being asked to move.

We hand over with runbooks, tests and a team that knows how it works, not a dependency.

We are not a reseller for React and hold no commission on this choice. Where a different option fits your workload better, the recommendation will say so. That is the entire value of asking us.

What is included

  • Problem framing before solution work. Most product failures start here
  • User and stakeholder interviews with findings you can disagree with
  • Opportunity mapping and ruthless prioritisation
  • Concept prototypes tested with real users
  • A defined first version with explicit out-of-scope
  • A roadmap that sequences by learning, not by feature list

Questions

How is this different from UI/UX design?

UI/UX designs the solution. Product design decides what the solution should be, which problem, for whom, and what the smallest version that proves it looks like.

How long does discovery take?

One to three weeks for most engagements. Longer than that and findings start going stale before anyone acts on them.

What if discovery says we should not build it?

Then it has paid for itself many times over. That outcome happens and we report it plainly.
