Multi-agent system
Several specialised agents coordinating on a task, each with a narrow role and its own tools.
Splitting work across specialised agents can improve reliability, a research agent, a drafting agent, a checking agent, because each has a smaller, better-defined job.
It also multiplies failure modes and cost. Every hand-off is a place where context is lost.
A useful test before adopting one: can you describe what each agent knows that the others do not? If the answer is nothing, you have split one agent across several prompts and added hand-off failures for no gain. Genuine specialisation, different tools, different permissions, different context, is what makes the pattern pay.
